Client: Royal Flying Doctor Service Services: Project Manager Value: $19M Project Manager for the design and procurement of the new Royal Flying Doctor Service Adelaide Base delivering 24/7 emergency retrieval services, inter-hospital transfers and primary health care services to all South Australians. The new base is located at Adelaide Airport and is the first tenant of an emergency services precinct created as part of Adelaide Airport’s masterplan.
The project involved careful design and budget management to ensure the operational efficiencies and superior services offering were achieved aligned with a value for money outcome to maximise dollar raised by the RFDS. The tender phase resulted in the successful award of a contract $1m under budget, meaning the RFDS could redirect funds for future important patient care needs (including aircraft and medical supplies). |
