Client: SA Government & SACA Services: Project Management, Superintendent Value: $450M & $110M Project Manager for the original western grandstand and full oval redevelopment over 5 years to deliver one of the world’s most picturesque sports grounds creating a world class 50,000 seat multi-sport stadium to re-energise recreational facilities within central Adelaide.
This project entailed two parts, including the Design and Project Manager for the main contract works ($385m) and secondary works ($65m) consisting of approximately 40 packages with separate contractors. The role was based in a Project office and then site based with direct liaison with SA Government, Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority (Operator) , AFL, Cricket Australia, SACA, SANFL, other Stakeholders, Cost Manager, the Consultant Team (including Specialist Consultants) and Design and Construction Contractor (Baulderstone) and Secondary Works Contractors. The second part the project was the earlier delivery of the Western Grandstand with SACA involving detailed design management and overall project management throughout the development and construction to achieve the complex design and engineering details and ensure completion was achieved in time for the committed Ashes test. |
